It's that time of year again when all the bike brands release their new product lines. We have just received the Scott USA 2012 lineup, and we thought we'd give you a sneak peek at what's coming later this year. Scott should be releasing pictures and details online today, but just in case they are a couple days late you can call or come by the shop to look at the catalogs for pricing and specs.
FOIL ($2499 to $12,000) - Although not technically new for 2012 (it was released late 2011) this bike deserves special notice. The Foil is not just a road bike: it is Scott's "Aero Road Bike" which combines the best qualities of the Addict road bike and the Plasma time trial bike. Check out the review on BikeRadar.com. SPARK 29 ($1650-$6499) - Finally! Scott now has a full suspension 29er! ASPECT 29 ($479-$779) - Scott has also added a 29er option in their successful Aspect line. At $479 for the entry level bike, you can't afford NOT to have one in your garage as a backup bike. SPEEDSTER JR 24 ($649) - An affordable bike for the budding racer. At 18 lbs this bike weighs less than most moms' and dads' bikes. OTG 10, OTG 20 ($519-$699) - Scott's foray into the single-speed world. Really cool looking with flip-flop hubs. METRIX ($489-$1199) - Scott's flat-bar road bike. Flat bars with Shimano 105 and skinny tires, plus brazons for stuff to carry your stuff. GREAT commuting bike from Scott. E-ASPECT 29 - Sorry, guys. You can't get the E-version of the Aspect in the States. Nope. You have to power up the hills on your own - no battery allowed here.
